The American Bull Molosser is a large dog with an average height between 20 to 26 inches and weight of 80 to 115 pounds. It has a symmetrical appearance, showing great strength, endurance and alertness. This dog is powerfully built as well as very athletic. It has a large skull with flat forehead. The eyes are darker in colour and ears cropped or V-shaped. The muzzle is moderate in length with large black nose and nostrils. The dog has a short coat and comes in different colours. This dog is a loyal and affectionate companion as well as protector of its family. It can fit into apartment life with proper exercise. This dog breed is NOT recognized by AKC however BBC and DRA recognize this dog breed.
Common colours for this dog are all shades of red, black and brindle. There may be white markings on chest, belly, feet and muzzle.
The dog has a short and dense coat that is very easy to groom and maintain. The coat provides protection to dog from weather.

The coat of ABM requires very little grooming. This dog needs to be bathed once in a month.
The ABM (American Bull Molosser) is very easy to train dog. It has an inherent desire to please its owner and together with its intelligence, the dog learns fast. The owner or trainer should use positive training methods to train this dog.
The American Bull Molosser will need moderate amount of exercise in the form of daily walk and some time to play. This breed requires moderate amount of exercise to keep its energy levels under control.
