The American Bully is a newer breed with large head and thick body. This medium size dog has a strong and muscular body. It has high set cropped or natural ears. Its eyes are round to oval, low down on skull and set far apart. The muzzle is medium in length The neck is thick and strong and slightly tapered from shoulders to base of the skull without any loose skin. The jaws are strong and well-defined. The tail is undocked and of medium size. The body has well-sprung ribs, deep in rear. The coat is smooth, short and hardy and comes in any colour and pattern. The breed is NOT recognized by AKC. It is recognized by ABKC, UCA, DRA, EBKC and BBC.
This breed can come in any colour. Most common colours include white, black, brown, golden and gray and usually have white markings anywhere on the body.

The short and smooth coat requires low maintenance. It should be brushed once or twice a week. Rubbing the coat with a towel or chamois will make the coat gleam.
The American Bully can be trained easily as it is intelligent and eager to please. This breed will need a firm and confident trainer who is calm and firm.
Due to high energy levels, the dog needs lots of physical exercise. A daily walk and playing time will take care of its daily exercise needs.
