Bichon/Yorkies or 'Borkies' as they are referred, are hybrid dogs that are a result of the cross breeding between a Bichon Frise and a Yorkshire Terrier purebreds. They are small cute dogs that are extremely intelligent. These dogs have small body. They have a slightly round skull with non-pointed muzzle. The eyes are round and nose is black. The tail is longish.
They come in variety of colours. Some are solid white, solid black, black and brown, dark brown and blonde. Some Yorkies are seen in mix colouring with black and brown mix and white bellies and faces.
The coat is full and dense.
They are very cute dogs that are very intelligent and loving. They mix well with other dogs and pets in the family and get along with them well. They are equally good and well behaved with small children. They are easy to housebreak. They are eager to get attention of their owner and family members. They are alert too and can be good watchdogs. They have lots of energy. They love to run and play.
They need regular brushing of the coat. Bath them when they are really dirty. Trimming or clipping once in 1-2 months is required for these dogs.
Since they are very intelligent dogs, they learn fast and are easy to train.
They need some playful activity to burn out their energy levels but they do not require longish sessions of walks or exercises. Fair amount of play indoor will address their exercise needs.
