The Chug dogs are hybrid dogs that are produced by cross breeding of a Chihuahua and a Pug purebreds. The Chugs are also known as pugawa or pughuahua. They are compact and muscular dogs that resemble parent body structure. They have a shorter muzzle and medium length ears that fold at the top. Their coat can be thick, short and coarse like a Pug or a silky, longer coat like a Chihuahua.
Their coat comes in two types. The thick short and dense coat resembles that of a Pug and long, more silkier coat like long haired Chihuahua.
They are found in many colours. They are found in colours black and tan to fawn and black, brown, tan or cream.
These hybrids are very lively and out going dogs that are very fond of attention. They socialize well with other dogs and pets in the family. They are specially good and gentle with children. They love to be center of attention. They are idea companion dogs as they want to spend most of their time with their owners. They love to play inside the house as well as going out for running and playing.They have a very expressive face. They are very loveable and ideal family and companion dogs.
Early socialization is necessary to curb their nervous and anxious behavior. Their coat requires regular brushing but nothing out of the ordinary.
Being highly intelligent, they are very good and fast learners. They are very easy to train.
Although they are very active inside the house, they love to go outside and play. They enjoy regular walks and playing opportunities.
