BREED DETAILS

GENERAL
The CockerShnauz, sometimes known as the Schnocker, is a designer dog cross between a Cocker Spaniel and Miniature Schnauzer. These breeds are medium-sized, noticeably with a small beard on their face. They are exceptionally fast runners and are known as athletics. These breeds are affectionate, very playful, active, energetic and loves when they get the attention they needed. They wanted their owners to be pleased and are perfect as a family companion.

COLOR
They commonly come in black and brown, often with white markings on their face, chest or feet. Others come in white or rather blonde, but this is rare.

COAT
Their coat is very soft although coarse. It is short on the body and longer on the legs, eyebrows, face, ears and feet.

PERSONALITY
This breed is affectionate, smart, sweet and obedient. They may or may not get along well with other dogs and other pets. They should be socialized when young with people, other dogs, and any pets with whom they will be expected to live with. Sometimes they can be suspicious of strangers, however they can be friendly after they feel secure and safe.

CARE
Moderate brushing and grooming maintenance is needed. Bathing should be done when necessary.

TRAINING
This breed is extremely intelligent and are very easy to train especially with positive reinforcement. Early socialization and obedience training is recommended to be done as early as puppyhood or by the time they got home. Their trainer should be firm, fair and consistent.

ACTIVITY
CockerShnauz are known to be athletic dogs and are normally active indoors. They do not require much of an exercise, but once in while walks or outside play can help maintain physical and mental health.
