GENERAL
A mix between a Cocker Spaniel and an Australian Shepherd, the Cotralian is a hybrid dog. These dogs are medium in size with a height of 16 to 22 inches and weight between 30 to 60 pounds. They are loving, playful,intelligent, social and loyal dogs who are good with families having older children. These dogs seek attention of their family members and thrive when they have it.

COLOR
They are found in many colours. They may be found in a combination of black, black and tan, brown, gray, red, silver and white colours.

COAT
They can have short to medium soft coat.

PERSONALITY
They are very loyal, intelligent and alert dogs who desire for attention. They are good with all ages except small children as they may show aggressive behavior if ill-treated. Being from herding background, they may need supervision when around small children and pets in the family as they have a tendency to herd them. Other than that, they are very good family pets.

CARE
They are average shedding dogs. They would require frequent grooming and regular brushing of their coat.

TRAINING
They are very trainable dogs and would respond to gentle but firm and consistent training.

ACTIVITY
They are energetic dog breed and love to have fair amount of physical and mental stimulation. Regular walk and play sessions are recommended for these dogs.
