BREED DETAILS

GENERAL
The French Pin dogs are a result of cross breeding between a French Bulldog and a Miniature Pinscher purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs because they originate from cross breeding of two different pure breeds. The French Pin dogs are loyal, intelligent and alert dogs. They are small in size standing not more than 13 inches and weighing around 10 to 30 pounds. These dogs are quite independent and will require an experienced owner to handle them. They are very alert and attentive dogs and would make good watch and guard dogs.

COLOR
Common colours for these dogs are black, brown, red and white or a mix of these colours.

COAT
These hybrids have short and fine coat.

PERSONALITY
The French Pin dogs are loyal, spirited, active and lively dogs. They love human companionship but can be assertive and willful if not properly trained from puppyhood. They may need an experienced owner and may not be suitable for first time owners as they can be stubborn and out-going independent dogs. Their alertness and wariness of strangers make them very good watch and guard dogs. When properly trained and socialized, they are good with small children and other dogs in the family. It is recommended that only teenagers and adult play with this dog breed as they can react aggressively to rough treatment of children.

CARE
Supervision is of utmost importance when they are playing or around small children.

TRAINING
These hybrids would be easy to train if their independent nature can be dealt with. Best way to train these dogs is through positive reinforcement techniques. They are intelligent and can learn fast.

ACTIVITY
These high energy and very active dogs would need a fence yard to run. Daily leash walk is very important. They need lots of exercise to relieve their energies.
