GENERAL
The Golden Cocker Retriever is a mix between a Golden Retriever and a Cocker Spaniel purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs as they originate from two different pure breeds. The Golden Cocker Retrievers are medium size dogs, standing up to 24 inches and weighing around 65 pounds. These hybrids are alert, intelligent , loyal and social. They get along well with all family members and make good watchdogs.

COLOR
They are found in different colours. Some common colours for these dogs are black, black and tan, brown, red, white and yellow or a mix of these colours.

COAT
These hybrids have dense and water repellent coat of Golden Retriever or medium length silky coat of Cocker Spaniel.

PERSONALITY
The Golden Cocker Retrievers are cheerful, sweet, gentle and friendly dogs. They are good with all the family and specially children. They are gentle and patient with children and make very good playmates. They love human companionship and love to spend time with them. They have a gentle disposition and can socialize with strangers easily. This makes them unsuitable as guard dogs but they are very alert and attentive to their surroundings which makes them good watchdogs. These hybrids make very good family pets.
