BREED DETAILS

GENERAL
The Italian Doxie is a designer breed mixed between the Italian Greyhound and Dachshund. They are sweet and affectionate dogs. They are wonderful family dogs.

COLOR
They commonly come in brown, tan and harlequin.

COAT
Their coat is short, dense and double coated.

PERSONALITY
They are fun, affectionate, loyal and devoted breeds with their master. They can be stubborn at times, mischievous and tenacious. They can get along well with children and other dogs especially when they are trained well. They make a wonderful companion and makes a great family dog.

CARE
These breed will only need minimal grooming as they shed very little. Bath them only when necessary to keep their coats water-resistant.

TRAINING
They are intelligent and can be trained easily. Training should always be kept interesting and fun. They will need a firm, fair and consistent trainer for best results on training. Harsh methods will do no good for me, but with positive reinforcement.

ACTIVITY
These breeds can perfectly dwell on apartment life. They also do not need too much exercise, thus they can be contented to just stay at home and roam around. They are very playful, active indoors and energetic. They love when they are being played with their masters and appreciates being loved.
