GENERAL
The Italian Tzu is a mix between an Italian Greyhound and a Shih Tzu purebreds. These dogs are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds. The Italian Tzu is small in size, standing at 18 inches maximum and weighing around 8-18 pounds. They are alert, cheerful and intelligent dogs that are playful and loyal to their family. The Italian Tzu dogs make good watchdogs and are very good family pets.

COLOR
The Italian Tzu is found in different parent colours like black, blue, brown, grey, red and white or a mix of these colours.

COAT
The Italian Tzu has medium to long coat that is silky and smooth.

PERSONALITY
The Italian Tzu are playful, cheerful, alert and eager to please dogs. They are affectionate and friendly with all ages and other dogs and pets in the family. As with all other dogs, they have a tendency to develop Small Dog Syndrome behavior where these dogs think themselves as the packleader and would need firm true pack leader to inhibit this behavior. These dogs are very active and lively dogs that love to get attention. They like to cuddle up and be with their family most of the time. They are good companion dogs. The Italian Tzu dogs are good family pets that are very social and make friends easily.

CARE
Their coat can be trimmed or clipped if desired. They would need minimal grooming and average brushing of their coat.

TRAINING
These dogs are intelligent as well as eager to please their owners. This makes them easy to train. They would respond well to consistent and patient training.

ACTIVITY
They are active dogs and would need play and running time besides daily walk.
