The Malton is a unique mixture of three breeds which is achieved by combining first the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise whose offspring is again mixed up with Maltese. So, technically speaking, it is a mixture of a hybrid and a pure breed. The Malton dogs are naturally cuddly and companion dogs that want nothing more but to be with their owners. They are playful and gentle dogs and make good pets for all ages, from children to seniors. These dogs are social and will mix well with other dogs and pets in the family.
The Malton dogs are found in different colors like but most common are pure white or white with peach. Other colors that are likely to appear on their coat are sable, white, black and tan or tri-colors.
Their coat can be medium to long in length, with silky and smooth fur. Their coat can be grown average in length that makes it equally appealing to the eyes.
The Malton dogs are a unique mix of one purebred dog with one hybrid dog. The sole purpose of such a mix is to produce loyal, loving companion dogs, and that is exactly what the Malton is. These dogs are very gentle, docile and obedient dogs that love to be in close quarters with their owners. They like to cuddle up to their master or snuggle beside him/her. These dogs are very good with children as they show a gentle and patient nature when playing with them. They also get along with other dogs and pets in the family. These dogs are intelligent and social and make excellent family and companion dogs.
Their coat will need regular grooming and brushing. An average length coat necessitates daily grooming such as brushing to avoid mat formation. Aside from that, professional care is really necessary every four weeks for trimming of its hair. In addition to the care of its coat, the owner needs also regular assessment of the pet particularly the eyes and ears as open organs are prone to infection.
These dogs are trainable and will not create any problems. Instructing and educating this breed is trouble-free as long as the trainers observe a firm and consistent manner in doing so.
A daily walk is all they will need to be happy and content. Above all other forms of exercise, daily walk is considered a requirement. It may be acceptable to skip a play but never use it as a replacement of daily walks because walking is their primal instinct. Running around in a fence yard may be done to promote bonding with its masters.
