The Papimo breed is a hybrid mix between the Papillon and the American Eskimo breeds. The breed is very eager to please their masters and very sweet. They enjoy activities together with members and pets of the family. Not very suitable as a guard dog for their small size but they are very smart dogs.
Usually the coat is colored white with blotches of black or brown.
The Papimo dog sheds heavily and the coat must be brushed regularly to keep the coat looking nicely. It is medium in length with longer wispy hair around the chest, face, elbows and tail area.
The Papimo are very sweet, affectionate and happy dog. They are great with kids as well as other pets of the family. It would take a little bit of time to warm up to new people as they get nervous as times.
The Papimo needs regular grooming for their long fur to look their best. With regards to feeding, they are not the finicky eater.
The Papimo is an intelligent breed acquired from his predecessor which makes them easily trainable. Especially that they are very eager to please their masters although housetraining could become a challenge.
The Papimo breed needs regular exercise to burn off energy. Otherwise, they could gain weight easily. Being an active dog, the enjoy playing with the members or pets of the family.
