The Pomapoos are naturally loving, affectionate and great with children as well as other pets making them perfectly suitable as a family pet. These dogs are very smart and very eager to please their masters which make them highly trainable for tricks. Depending on the length of coat they inherited from their parents, their grooming can prove to be a challenge. It needs to be kept looking good and tangle-free always. This dog is hypoallergenic making them perfect for families with allergy issues or do not want to deal with dog hair.

COLOR
This breed's coat color is highly dependent on what color they will inherit from their parents. Colors vary from White, Beige, Red, Orange, Apricot to Brown, Brindle, Fawn and Black.

COAT
This dog's coat will greatly depend on the coat that they will inherit from their parents. Their coat characteristics will vary from dog to dog. A straight, coarse coat type will require only minimal brushing. On the other hand, curly coat types will need brushing, trimming and occasional washing. As with all Poodle crosses, the Poodle coat proves to be usually dominant and more than often produce a low-shedding, odorless coat making them hypoallergenic. Regular trimming is required for the long-haired coat.

PERSONALITY

This breed is known to be a healthy breed as hybrids are usually less plagued by the diseases common to their ancestors' breed. However, they are known to have teeth problems. Thus, necessary safety measures should be applied to catch it early and to minimize the impact. Feeding these dogs good quality dry food is important to keep their teeth and gums healthy. This dog can also develop cataracts. Regular eye examinations should be put in place to treat any possible eye problems as soon as they are diagnosed. Pomapoo owners should always be on the watch and prepared for other diseases that could occur as this breed are still relatively new specie.

TRAINING
These dogs are highly intelligent and are fairly straightforward to train. They can easily learn a lot of tricks and are easy to housebreak. They tend to be possessive and protective of their humans making early obedience training and proper socialization pretty crucial. A firm, consistent, calm, assertive humans around this dog should make training a successful one.

ACTIVITY
This breed is highly energetic and intelligent. They crave for their master's attention and consistent exercise to avoid getting bored that could lead to a destructive behavior. They are highly active although they are not built for vigorous exercise. For the high level of their energy, they most likely need a playmate around. Their playful nature makes them perfect for little children to have. They should be fine to live in small apartments or in a big family with kids and other household pets. Even with their energetic-self, they can drain their energy indoors and outdoors. However, as dogs, their primal instinct to walk will still need to be fulfilled.
