Shih Apso are cross between Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu. They are great family dogs. They may become aggressive at times because of their protective personalities.

PERSONNALITY
Shih Apsos are affectionate and loves to be given the center of attention. They have a great personality and make a good companion. They are friendly and are able to get along with children and other pets.
CARE
Shih Apsos are generally healthy but they are prone to sensitive stomachs so they require special attention on feeding. Itching of skin and dental issues would also be a problem. They would also require frequent grooming and brushing of coat.
TRAINING
Shih Apsos are not so smart dogs. Firm, proper, and fair obedience training and early socialization is required to be able to control their temperament. They may become aggressive especially when they are around strangers. It would be better if they start training at an early age.
ACTIVITY
Shih Apsos are playful and active dogs. They do not require much of an exercise though. They make a great indoor dogs but love outdoor activities.
