The Silkese, also known as Silktese has an even temperament, fun-loving, friendly and enthusiastic. They can be raised with children and other pets as well. They a sweet personality that everybody loves and makes a great humane companion.
Silkese comes in solid white, others come in white with touches of black, brown, cream and tan. Sometimes they come in majority of brown with combinations of white, black to red-brown.
The Silkese has a straight, fury, smooth coat. It can be barely long, enough to sweep the floor.
The Silkese is a sweet, affectionate, fun-loving breed. They have a great personality which makes them a great family dog. They are friendly to other dogs, especially those raised with them and to other stray dogs. They are very playful and loves to please their owners.
These breed sheds averagely thus needing daily brushing to remove dead fur. Their coat can be grown long if preferred but needs grooming every two weeks to refrain from matting and tangling of their hair. Trimming once in a while are also recommended.
These Silkese dogs are averagely intelligent dogs. However, training them will be hard because their sweetness will get into their head and tend to get in their way. They will need a firm hand, consistency of training with repetition to be able to grasp the concept of their training.
The Silkese is a highly playful and energetic dog but needs less exercise. They mostly burn off their energy by playing. They make a great apartment dog because of their size. They can stay indoors and run around the house and play. However they would love if they are brought onto trips outdoors. They enjoy large yards and running around, and if there's no yard going off leash are recommended.
