BREED DETAILS

GENERAL
Silkland Terriers are cross breeds from West Highland White Terrier and Silky Terrier. These dogs have a very pleasing personality which makes them a great family dog. They make a good companion. They are also alert and barks a lot when they are alarmed by mysterious noises, stray dogs and strangers.

COLOR
Silkland Terrier comes in combinations of white, brown, cream and tan.

COAT
The Silkland Terrier has thick, fury, silky, double coat.

PERSONALITY
Silkland Terriers are lovable, affectionate and sweet little dogs. They are perfect for apartment or small homes with their size. They are friendly to other dogs and can get along well with children.

CARE
Silkland Terriers highly sheds. They would require twice a day brushing to remove dead fur. Grooming may also be good for them to refrain matting.

TRAINING
Silkland Terriers are smart dogs. Housebreaking them will somehow be a problem so its best to start their obedience training and socialization at an early age. With firm, consistent, patient and repetitive training, they will be able to learn quick.

ACTIVITY
Silkland Terriers are very playful dogs. They are energetic, enthusiastic and fun-loving. They need average exercise so having them run around the house, a yard, or on parks would be better. They also love to go on leash and go on outdoor trips.
