The Silky-Lhasa is a loving, very affectionate, fun-loving and playful. They have a very pleasing personality that everybody loves. They enjoys when they get the attention they want and enjoys being the center of affection.
The Silky-Lhasa will need a daily brushing of their long, thick coat. Grooming will be required to refrain matting and tangling of their hair. Depending upon the preference of the owner, their hair can be cut short or remained to grow long.
The Silky-Lhasa may not be so smart like other dogs and may be hard to train. An early obedience training and early socialization is recommended for these small dogs, much better if they start training the moment they have been brought home. They are cute and adorable which sometimes get in their way during the training and becomes a problem.
The Silky-Lhasa will need about half an hour of exercise to tire them out and burn off their energy. They are very playful and are great indoor dogs. They are perfect for an apartment because of their size and they do not need extra room to roam around. But if a backyard is a available, that would be a bonus for them to access outdoor activities other that home.
