St. Weilers are cross breeds between the Rottweiler and Saint Bernard. These breeds are non-aggressive, friendly and affectionate. They are typically known to be easy going, calm and protective dog. They appear to have a built like the Saint Bernard with the markings of a Rottweiler.
St. Weilers usually comes in light brown with black on the muzzle and white on the chest or black with mahogany markings on the cheeks, around the eyes and on the muzzle, chest, paws and legs.
St. Weilers have a long, silky, glossy topcoat with a thick fuzzy undercoat.
St. Weilers are a wonderful family dog. They are friendly and makes a great companion. They are typically calm, sweet, and shy yet loves people. They can be a great watchdog with their size and since they are alert, they can easily alarm their owner if there are some mysterious noises, stray animals or strangers around.
St. Weilers are easy to take care. They will only need minimal brushing since they do not shed much. They will need regular grooming to maintain their good looking coat. Bathing should be done when necessary.
St. Weilers are averagely intelligent dogs. These type of dogs can be trained easily with the proper training methods, fairness, consistency, firmness and patience.
St. Weilers are playful, cheerful and fun. These breeds will need a high level of exercise so they will need an access to a large backyard. If a yard is not available, they will require several leash walks daily.
