Alusky dogs are product of cross breed between Alaskan malamute and Siberian husky purebreds. They are very loving and very athletic dogs. They have great stamina and endurance and are longer than they are tall. Face is very similar to wolf and ears are large and erect.
Coat colours range from pure white to pure black and all shades in between. Most common are red, silver, grey, brown and blended colours.
They have thick, dense, double coat.
They are very loving and loyal dogs. These dogs like to do something almost always to feel happy. They are very sensitive to owners' tone and can become timid if spoken to in harsh tone. They should be trained with all positive methods as they have long memory.
Spring and fall seasons are heavy shedding days for Aluski dogs and daily brushing is needed. Rest of the year, the coat remains very clean.
They love to be trained but only use positive methods for training. Avoid harsh voice and/or methods with this breed.
They are very energetic and love exercises and outdoor play. Regular long walk keeps them happy.
