We had our Papillon X doing a whole routine when she was a pup, but she was also the excited type and would never concentrate when other people came to watch. Plus, cameras weren't exactly handy 7 years ago, and now that our iPhones take great ideo, she's too damn lazy to perform for anyone!

We also have one of these wonderful dogs! I stopped by our local cspca and when I saw him he came right up to me and I knew this was the campanion for me. Apparently he never went to anyone since there including the care takers. Since that day he never leaves my side! Everywhere I go, he goes. I move, he moves. Apparently when I'm not home, my family says he just sleeps by the front door waiting and what a reception I get when I walk in. It's like a party LOL.
He is now about 10 years old. I got him when he was already 3 or 4 years old according to the cspca and my vet.
I could not ask for a better companion. I can't even remember what it was like walking anywhere without my shadow....the nickname my family gave him LOL
I love him dearly.

You can easily groom your Yorkie yourself.... just use a wide-spaced comb and do a little each day. They are best with a very gentle shampoo, even baby shampoo and again, you can certainly do t hat yourself.

My opinion is get them in pairs of 2. We adopted boy and girl boradors from a litter of 14. The family had the mother and father tied in the back, so we know the father was a black lab and the mother was a border collie. When I went to the shelter to adopt them, my mom came with me and ended up taking 2 home herself. They are now 6 years old and the best dogs we have ever had. They are great together, especially as puppies, because they always have a playmate. They are protectors of our household and our children and they tolerate a great deal without ever getting angry. When all 4 of them get together, they are a hoot - even at 6 years old. Smart, loving and gentle... wonderful!
