I have a JR/havanese mix, too. Great dog. Who cares what people call them (I like to say he’s a “jackanese”–not because I’m trying to claim he’s a designer dog, but because he’s cute and everyone asks what kind of dog he is–and that’s the easy answer). Before him, I had a spaniel/coton mix–also a great dog Only complete snobs are bothered by giving a mix of two purebreds a “new” name. Years ago we had a “Visalab” which is what made us believers in mixing breeds–he was the best hunting dog my husband ever had. Why not mix two breeds to get the best combo while slowing down the rampant overbreeding of popular purebreds.

I have two Maltese that I love very much. They are so loyal. The 9 yr old female is my husband’s loyal baby and the 3 yr.old male is my loyal baby. Neither one of us can move without them on our heels! And they get along great.

Such an adorable breed and very affectionate. No shedding is a big plus, also. Most like to dress up and is very photogenic.
