I got a Rottie from the Lucky Dog Rescue and he’s the absolute BEST! He is very protective of us and he’s become a lap dog, even though he’s 115 pounds. He won’t let anyone just walk in the house unless I say so. You can’t go wrong with a Rottweiler.

they are the best. people say the are ‘guard dogs’, but they bark at strangers outside just like any other dog, only they sound a little more intimidating when they bark. in reality, they are extremely intelligent and love affection. after owning one, I dont think I’d want a different breed.

rotties r the best dogs for any body who wants a guard dog that is loving and affectionate. they r like big soft teddy bears.

Absolutely spot on description of the Rottie – I have had them for the past 20 years and they are the most loving, intelligent and faithful creatures when brought up correctly with the right amount of firmness and socialisation. Each of my dogs has become a very much loved member of our family and so very rewarding!
