When I started to work from home, I decided to buy my first dog and after some research, chose the Westie. He is now eight years old and has given me so much enjoyment. He is a very friendly and sociable dog. He is great with children and elderly people. He is very energetic and loves playing fetch or going for regular walks. I really don’t think I could have chosen a better dog and I would highly reccommend the breed.

All the comments above are true and correct such lovely dogs, we are now on our 3rd one little puppy with the other at 8 yrs of age, lost the other due to cancer at 7 yrs of age. Not sure I would ever bother looking for another breed of dog! This one has it all!!!

I have a 13 year old Westie, and he is my best friend and companion. These dogs are the one of the greatest dogs out there, my dog is so friendly and has a wonderful temperment around children. Even at his old age he still surprises me with his energy and spunk, i would totally recommend this dog to any family looking for a loyal and loving pet.

I have a 4 year old male Westie. Your right about the sleep he sleeps untill noon, if gets up earlier he’s grumpy. He loves playing fetch, tug & running. He has a variety of commanders he knows and performs on a regular basis. When we sit down at night to read or watch tv he’s right in the middled ready to snuggle up. They are great dogs.
