I am leaving a comment here as there is nowhere i can see that i may otherwise contact you. This is for whoever the person is who has decided to write this up about the whippet.

Firstly, whippets are in NO WAY a cross of greyhound and italian greyhound! They originate from greyhound and terriers.

"Greyhounds were crossed with small terriers, (including possibly the Bedlington Terrier), to produce a small, swift hound capable of hunting rabbits and other small game. During this era, the whippet belonged mainly to the working class people of England. These were factory and mine workers in Northern towns near Manchester and Liverpool, who worked hard and lived simple lives. "

Whippets can NOT get anywhere near the speed of a full grown greyhound.

Secondly YOU should NOT be writing about a breed unless you actually know what you are talking about as i have had both hunting & racing whippets as well as show whippets and they have ALL lived with cats and small dogs! NOT all whippets have high prey drives and they can quite easily live with other animals!
Whippets are not high strung dogs in general either, you are basing everything as if they are clones of each other! Most do not need lots of exercise! Most only need a half hour walk a day and they are quite happy. They prefer to be with their people on the couch.
So you know....whippets are NOT prone to hip dysplasia or skin problems either! and ALL hounds that carry little fat (such as the pharoahs,Saluki's,Ibizan's ect...) are sensitive to anesthetics.

These dogs are very kind and loving and they definately do not need you scaring people to death about what is not true with them! Please make sure you get the correct facts about the dogs you post on your website!
