The American Hairless Terrier is a look-a-like of its ancestors, the Rat-Terriers. This small size dog can reach heights between 7 to 16 inches and will weigh anywhere around 5-16 pounds. It is a well-muscled dog with deep chest and strong shoulders, solid neck and powerful legs. The ears are erect and tail full length. The coat has no fur(as evident from the name). The dog appears to be pink with gray, red, black or golden spots.
This breed is NOT recognized by AKC. It is however recognized by UKC, NKC, CKC, ACR, DRA.
