The Scotchi are hybrids from Scottish Terrier and Chihuahua. These lovely small dogs are averagely aggressive and are barker especially when they sense strangers around.
Scotchi dogs come in a combination of black, dark gray and tan or sometimes in solid tri-coloured, or parti colouring with mixtures of the solid coat with patches of white, tan, fawn or blue in the body which they possibly get from their chihuahua parent. Some also come in solid white.
These have a coarse, wiry, short-haired coat.
The Scotchi is a loving, affectionate yet averagely aggressive dogs. However, they can be sweet and snugly. They are very alert and is tough. They have a charming, cute and wonderful personality. They can be devoted and values their family.
These dogs moderately sheds. Brushing and grooming regularly are advised. Bathing should be done when necessary.
Scotchi dogs are not so intelligent. Training them might be a problem. Early training and socialization with proper reinforcements are needed.
The Scotchi dogs are not so energetic dogs. They may play at times but are rather lazy at times.
