Nicknamed Lacy, the Blue Lacy is an official dog breed of Texas, being the only dog breed originated in that state. This medium size working dog is an excellent herding and hunting dog. The dog has a height between 18 to 21 inches and weight between 25 to 55 pounds depending on working condition. This strong and fast yet lightly built dog has a well proportioned body. The breed sports a short, smooth and tight coat that comes in one of three color variations; blue, red and tricolor.
