German Spitz Giant

The German Spitz Giant is a Spitz type dog originating in Germany. This medium size dog is called 'Giant' because it is the largest among German Spitz type with a height between 16-17 inches and weighs between 38.5 to 40. Heights and weights in male and female dogs DO NOT differ.

This dog has a proportionate body with slender legs and skinny torso. The head is circular with a muzzle that is in proportion to the skull. Dark eyes are medium in size and slanting. Ears are pricked and erect, set high on the head and are close to each other. Body is in proportion and does not appear to be protruding or sticky. The breed has a distinct long coat that covers the body completely. It is soft to touch and has a short undercoat. The thick and dense coat comes in a solid colour that can be white, black or brown. The tail curls over the back and to one side.

This breed is NOT recognized by AKC.
