The American Indian Dog is a medium size, all round working breed. The head is in proportion to the body with a naturally looking muzzle. The ears are pricked and eyes have an intelligent look. It has medium length neck with straight back that is longer than taller. Its tail hangs low with a single curve. It has medium length glossy coat that is long and soft on outer part and short and thick plush under coat. This breed comes in different colours.
This breed can have height between 18 to 20 inches and weight 35 to 60 pounds. This breed is NOT recognized by AKC. However it is recognized by APRI, DBR, DRA.
