The Olde Boston Bulldogge is also known as Boston Bull, Boston Bulldog and Old Boston Bulldog. It is a small to medium size dog that is known for its loving and cuddly nature. The dog originated in late 1800s by crossing English Bulldog with now extinct White Terrier. Original purpose was to develop a better dog fighting breed but as it turned out, the dog was more of a lover than a fighter and it quickly gained attention and interest of people as an adorable and affectionate family pet. This breed is the progenitor of one of today's most popular American breeds, the Boston Terrier.
The Olde Boston Bulldogge is a small to medium size dog that weighs any where between 25-45 lbs. It is a compactly built dog with erect ears, short tails and short muzzles. The short smooth coats come in red, brown, fawn, white, all shades of brindle, with white markings.
This dog breed is NOT recognized by AKC or any major kennel club.
