The Kugsha Dog or the Amerindian Malamute is an ancient dog breed with a history that dates back to 1000 years. Originating from America, this breed was used as freight or weight pulling dogs. It resembles to a wolf with profusely haired body. It stands between 20-27 inches and weighs about 60-106 lbs.
The dog comes with a wedge-shaped head and medium length, slightly tapering muzzle. It has small and obliquely set eyes. Small and erect ears are triangular in shape. The neck is long, broad and muscular. Rectangular body is slightly longer than it is tall. The back is strong and straight. The dog has sturdy and powerful legs. Straight and strong forelegs and slightly angulated and powerful hindlegs give this dog strength and speed. Normally drooping tail is long and bushy. The dense and double coat of this breed can come in any colour.
