The Buckley Mountain Feist is a small to medium size dog with a height and weight between 15-17 inches and 18-30 lbs respectively. It is visually an appealing dog with good body length. The ears are pricked and tail is naturally bobtail or docked. The coat is short and tight to the body and comes in different colors. This dog is bred more for its hunting abilities rather than as show dog so there is no consistency in its appearance. They are specialist squirrel hunters although can hunt other small animals on the ground. As such, the dog has strong drive to chase small animals.
