Patterdale Terrier

The Patterdale Terrier breed is a pure breed dog which originated from different strains of Terriers that existed in each isolated village in the north of England. They were bred to be working dogs which made them very good at hunting and watchdog skills.

They are laid back, loyal and very brave. They need a human as a pack leader to train them patiently especially with obedience. They are particularly hard and persistent which requires a pack leader who is strong-willed and confident.

Not recommended for the average pet owner as they need consistent challenges with mental and physical exercise to keep them from boredom. Lack of exercise and boredom could result to behavioral problems in the future.
